Award for Outstanding Accomplishments by a HUBZone Contractor for Fiscal Year 2019
Earlier this month, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Administrator, Andrew Wheeler, announced that A & M Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. (A & M) has been selected for the 30th Annual Administrator’s Award for Outstanding Accomplishments by a HUBZone Contractor. The EPA’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization selected A & M for our remediation work on the Washington County Superfund Project in Missouri during Fiscal Year (FY) 2019. The award recognizes the excellence of a small business, certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as located and operating within a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), directly contributing to the core EPA mission.
During FY2019 A & M remediated 112 residential properties and high access areas which have been contaminated by lead and zinc from prior mining operations. Due to the diligent efforts of A & M staff, working hand in hand with the EPA, cleanup efforts were completed with a high degree of satisfaction and confidence from the community. A & M would also like to acknowledge the significant contributions of our primary subcontractor and teaming partner, Williams Diversified Materials, Inc. out of Baxter Springs, Kansas.
A & M is honored to receive this award as EPA’s acknowledgement of our hard work and dedication to providing quality services. Client satisfaction is of the upmost importance to us and the core of our key drivers.
